If you subscribe to Alta, we use a payment processor to collect and process your credit card information. We may only store the last four digits of your credit card information and tokenize your full credit card number. If you attend an event, Alta may collect information regarding your attendance and your interests regarding such events. Finally, we may obtain certain information, including names, addresses, email addresses, and other information from third parties regarding people who may be interested in subscribing to Alta, attending one of our events, or otherwise interested in an Alta offering.

We may also automatically collect basic technical information from visitors to our Sites. We may automatically collect information about how visitors use the Sites, and may use cookies or other similar technologies to help use and compile statistics. This information may include log file information such as Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, browser language, pages viewed, and the date and time of a visit. This information helps us improve the functionality of our Sites. These analytic cookies generate aggregate statistics that are not associated with an individualized profile. For example, we may use Google Analytics to track how often visitors access or read our content. Certain features on our Sites may provide you the opportunity to publicly post material. These public comments are designed to be visible to other users and visitors to our Sites and may include comments, reviews, rankings, and other material. Any information that you disclose may be used by us for commercial and promotional purposes and will become public. We are not responsible for the information that you decide to make public in this manner, and we have no responsibility to take any such information down from our Sites.

Also, when you share or recommend content via a social media platform such as Facebook or Google, that information may be public, and any information you share via these social media platforms will not be subject to this Privacy Policy.

Alta is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust, and we take reasonable security measures to protect your information, including the use of physical, technical, and administrative controls. However, no security system is impenetrable, and no transmission or electronic storage of information is guaranteed to be secure. We therefore urge you to always use caution when transmitting information over the Internet.

VI. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Sites are not intended for and are not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or store any personal information about children under 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age, do not provide personal information to us and do not use our Sites.

VII. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We are based in the United States in the State of California. The information you submit to us and that we collect as a result of using our Sites will be transferred to the United States. By using our services, you consent to the collection, international transfer, storage, and processing of your information. If it is illegal to access our Sites or transfer your data to the United States, please do not use our Sites.

You have the right, subject to certain limitations, to: (i) request access to personal information we hold about you; (ii) correct your personal information when incorrect, out of date or incomplete; and (iii) request that we delete your personal information.

Please note that if you request that your personal information be deleted, you may no longer be able to access or use certain parts of the Sites. We will respond to your request in writing, or orally if requested, as soon as practicable and in any event not more than within one month after receipt of your request. California’s “Shine The Light” law permits California to annually request and obtain information free of charge about what personal information is disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year.
